Thank you Pinterest for this idea to paint magnolia leaves! Actually I would love to thank the person who posted this idea for one of the best projects I have ever done with my students! In this case, the entire 5th grade, collected and painted magnolia leaves to hang on a Christmas tree in their 5th grade commons. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined the magnificence of the resulting tree decorated with all their mini-leaf paintings! Each little leaf painting is a unique treasure! I send my congratulations and thanks to each and every 5th grader for their enthusiasm and creativity. The blend of the traditional with unusual resulted in a spectacular, eclectic and joyous 5th grade Christmas tree that will no doubt bring a smile to your face. This project will also make you want to run out and collect magnolia leaves to paint for the holidays!
